Senior Kotlin Backend Developer

As a Senior Kotlin Backend Developer, you will be working for our client, a multinational IT company that operates in 150 locations across 46 countries. We are seeking candidates with a passion for Kotlin to contribute to the Azure cloud modernization of the client’s IT department. It’s a game-changing revolution for the retail market and its customers!

Your main responsibilities: Enhancing the projects through ad hoc solution analyses, custom development, and integrations

• Bringing concepts from vision to reality for new and existing products
• Researching and adopting new technologies and best practices, as well as writing and testing clean code
• Ensuring product quality by reviewing and enhancing the codebase continuously
• Collaborating across functional boundaries
• Analyzing customer goals and user requirements
• Contributing to the formation and maintenance of a diverse and inclusive development team culture
• Mentoring and training new team members

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
• Experienced with Kotlin, and an interest in system architecture, caching techniques, REST APIs and data modelling
• Knowledge of relational databases such as Postgres and nosql database such as mongodb.
• Experience with modern web frameworks such as Spring, Quarkus, Micronaut
• Motivation to become a part of and learn from a team of experienced and passionate developers for web, and backend
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Rancher and Azure services such as Azure DevOps/ Github actions
• Basic knowledge of frontend technologies such as React or Vue
• Fluent English
