As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading organization in the fintech industry, focusing on managing and supporting their 24×7 network operations in Luxembourg. This role involves deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced network solutions to ensure seamless operational services and online transactional processing. You will collaborate with the Network Operations Centre, System Operations, and Helpdesk teams to align with the client’s financial objectives and enhance their global network infrastructure.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing, implementing, and supporting local and remote portions of the PCI-DSS enterprise financial network
• Deploying InfoSEC-approved data center architecture based on best practices and emerging trends
• Managing Campus/Partner connectivity via leased lines, VPNs (IPSEC and SSL), and SD-WAN
• Handling SSL/TLS certificate management
• Managing application delivery across DEV/QA/UAT/Production environments
• Providing triage support for LAN/WAN/Cloud operations and infrastructure
• Overseeing circuit provisioning, activations, and troubleshooting
• Conducting regular security assessments of the IT environment
• Participating in design and strategy meetings for IT projects
• Evaluating existing communication systems and recommending network performance improvements
• Installing and configuring physical servers, host VMs, and data/voice communications equipment
• Performing off-hours maintenance as required

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Network+/KCA/CCNA/CCNP/NSE4/CISSP certifications
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and/or experience
• Experience with IPS, DDOS, 802.1X, NAC, ISE, and AV implementations
• Knowledge of ISO 8583, PCI-DSS, and GDPR compliance
• Scripting skills in TCL and knowledge of VMware ESX, Coralogix, Netreo, OpsGenie, Wireshark/PCAP analysis, ELK, Wazuh, Fortinet Fabric technologies
• Dynamic Routing knowledge of OSPF, iBGP, and eBGP
• F5 LTM VE knowledge and iNAC/eNAC familiarity
• Experience with HPE, Dell, Cisco Switching, and Checkpoint/SPLAT
• Fast-paced work ethic with the ability to handle high responsibility
• Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams and external/internal cohorts

• Availability for rotating on-call support and occasional travel
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a focus on delivering high-quality results
• The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
• Knowledge of HPE, Dell, Cisco Switching Checkpoint/SPLAT familiarity
