As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution, supporting the execution of sourcing projects to achieve cost savings and drive procurement efficiencies. You will contribute to strategic procurement initiatives, leveraging supply and economic levers to optimize value. Your role involves managing sourcing activities across various categories, negotiating contracts, and mitigating commercial, contractual, and operational risks. You will work closely with business supplier managers and key stakeholders to align procurement activities with overall category strategies while ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
Your main responsibilities:
- Managing end-to-end sourcing activities across multiple geographies and categories
- Defining sourcing approaches and delivering associated sourcing activities to maximize business value
- Applying supply, cost, and demand levers to optimize procurement strategies
- Planning and executing contract negotiations to secure favorable terms
- Implementing, extending, and terminating contracts as needed
- Supporting the execution of eSourcing initiatives, including eAuctions, to drive incremental value
- Identifying and delivering post-contract value opportunities in collaboration with business supplier managers
- Contributing to annual and sustainable savings targets for designated categories or countries
- Engaging proactively with internal stakeholders to foster strong relationships and ensure alignment with procurement strategies
- Supporting procurement activities specifically in France, ensuring compliance with local regulations and market dynamics
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Proven experience in a similar procurement or strategic sourcing role
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of delivering cost savings
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality outcomes
- Experience managing sourcing projects and analyzing procurement data
- Knowledge of supply chain strategies and procurement best practices
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate
- Fluent French & English
- University degree in a relevant field (or higher)
- Experience working in a hybrid work environment, with flexibility for in-office presence
- Familiarity with procurement processes within financial institutions or multinational corporations
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience with eSourcing and eAuction tools
- Background in demand management and supplier innovation strategies
- Experience working in a global procurement environment
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities
