Test Automation Engineer

Warsaw-based opportunity with hybrid work model! (1 day in the office/ week).

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be working for our client, a well-established financial institution undergoing dynamic digital transformation. You will join a fast-paced, agile environment focused on modernizing banking applications through robust test automation strategies. The project involves enhancing the quality and reliability of web-based systems by developing and maintaining a scalable automation framework. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team collaborating closely with developers, analysts, and QA professionals to ensure top-tier performance and stability of key digital solutions.

Your main responsibilities: Design, update, and execute automated tests for web applications

  • Build and enhance the test automation framework using TypeScript or C#
  • Plan and manage the testing process across various stages of development
  • Monitor, log, and report test results to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and testers to resolve defects
  • Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and maintain test environments
  • Use version control systems effectively within a collaborative team setup
  • Contribute to improving QA processes and propose automation enhancements
  • Apply tools like JIRA and Xray to support the testing lifecycle
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain high testing standards

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in test automation for web applications
  • Strong knowledge of Selenium (C#) or Playwright (TypeScript)
  • Experience using GIT and working within CI/CD environments like Jenkins
  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Xray, Postman, and SoapUI
  • Good understanding of testing principles and ISTQB certification
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail in test creation
  • Effective communication and a proactive approach to teamwork
  • Fluency in English at B2 level or higher
  • Willingness to continuously learn and share knowledge

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in financial institutions or banks
  • A university degree or ongoing studies in IT or related fields
