Test Software Engineer

As an Test Software Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution, on critical projects that ensure the robustness and quality of software applications. Your role will involve designing and executing automated test cases, creating test data, and ensuring end-to-end testing deliverables are met on time and within budget. You will work closely with developers and business analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into comprehensive testing strategies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Your main responsibilities:

• Understanding business use cases and preparing a Traceability Matrix
• Creating and executing automated test cases using tools like Selenium and Cucumber
• Designing and maintaining test data, ensuring its quality and availability
• Promoting reuse through the implementation of shared testing artifacts
• Conducting impact analysis across projects and platforms, writing automated regression test scenarios
• Capturing defects, retesting them, and ensuring they are resolved
• Publishing daily testing project status updates to stakeholders
• Highlighting project issues to the IT Project Manager and Test Lead
• Conducting test result walkthroughs with business stakeholders
• Capturing lessons learned and applying them to future projects

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and strategies
• Proficiency in tools like Java, Python, REST API, SQL, and Business Driven Development
• Experience in functional and automation testing using Selenium, Cucumber, and Junit
• Fluent English
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
• Proactive and self-motivated attitude with a focus on problem-solving
• Basic analysis and problem-solving skills
• Customer-focused mindset with knowledge of the software project lifecycle
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in performance testing
• Background in both automation and functional testing
