Java Engineer

As a Java Engineer, you will be working for our client, an international financial institution focused on delivering cutting-edge solutions across various geographies. This project involves collaborating with a global team to develop, implement, and support software solutions that drive the business forward. You will engage with diverse stakeholders, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of technical solutions that meet business requirements.

Your main responsibilities:

• Participating in all aspects of software delivery with team members
• Implementing assigned modules and providing technical solutions and designs
• Supporting issue resolution using best practices for maintenance and production support
• Liaising with product owners and SMEs to translate business requirements into development sprints
• Working closely with the architecture team to deliver timely and appropriate solutions
• Collaborating with stakeholders from different locations to ensure focused delivery
• Using Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, RTC, G3, Nexus for artifact management and code release
• Following Agile and DevOps methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, SharePoint
• You’re ideal for this role if you have:
• Strong knowledge of Java 8+
• Ability to debug existing code, extend functionality, and fix issues
• Understanding of microservice architecture and ability to write REST APIs
• Experience writing tests to verify functionalities and endpoints
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools
• Consideration for implementing security around functionalities, services, and endpoints
• Participation in platform improvement initiatives, such as performance and production stability
• Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and rapid learning capability
• Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills
• Knowledge of database schema design

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL
• Awareness of working in DevOps POD and willingness to provide production support when needed
• Strong customer focus and passion for delivering excellent customer experiences
