As a Lead Fullstack Engineer, you will be working for our client, a prominent global banking and financial services organisation. You’ll play a vital role in the newly formed Finance Treasury IT function, focusing on enhancing delivery capabilities in Guangzhou. Your contributions will directly impact the company’s strategy and engineering excellence standards.

Your main responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the infrastructure required for the products
• Design, deploy and maintain the cloud computing systems and networks
• Support leadership in transforming the Treasury Technology organization into a customer-centric value stream
• Develop career pathways to attract top engineering talent and foster cross-pollination of best practices
• Inspire innovation and strategize innovation initiatives within the organization
• Design modern organization structures and work methodologies for accelerated transformation
• Act as a trusted advisor to influence senior executives on transformation strategies
• Engage with business and operational teams to align value streams and support organisational goals
• Introduce industrial best practices (DORA, SPACE framework) to build engineering excellence
• Coach DevSecOps improvements to enhance delivery maturity
• Define and implement measurement to provide accurate visualization of the team’s delivery values
• Coach team on building effective feedback loop with customers/business, incorporate customer feedback to evolve product

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 8+ years of commercial experience in developing backend and frontend UI solutions
• Proficiency in web frontend technologies like Node.js, React.js, JavaScript, CSS, Bootstrap, HTML5
• Willingness to transition towards a hands-on full-stack engineering lead role
• Ability to translate business requirements into system components and work in diverse global teams
• Experience in web data visualization using libraries like Highchart, e-chart, Apache Superset

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with frontend technologies like micro frontends or React development
• Any GCP certifications or contributions to engineering communities
• Certifications in architecture or programming
• Knowledge/certification in Kubernetes, Kafka, Kong Gateway, or equivalent technologies
