As a Mobile Technical Lead Engineer (iOS), you will be working for our client, a global leader in digital banking and financial services. The client is focused on transforming mobile platforms to deliver cutting-edge, high-quality applications that enhance customer experiences. With a strong emphasis on innovation and efficiency, you will play a key role in leading development efforts, managing complex projects, and ensuring the highest standards of mobile engineering are met. Your main responsibilities:

• Leading the development team to meet agreed timescales and standards
• Applying technical expertise to develop high-quality mobile applications
• Designing and building mobile applications using modern technology stacks
• Defining and governing quality standards for mobile applications
• Producing efficient code that meets business requirements and technical standards
• Ensuring system design supports business needs and managing technical debt
• Conducting unit testing to ensure software applications produce desired results
• Assisting with the implementation of releases and building CI/CD pipelines
• Challenging code, design, and implementation to ensure the highest quality
• Contributing to automation test coverage and maintaining technical documentation

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Extensive experience in developing, deploying, and supporting complex iOS applications
• Expert knowledge of Swift and Objective-C
• In-depth understanding of Apple’s design principles and coding best practices
• Experience with UI and unit testing tools like XCTest, Specta, and Appium
• Proficiency with Xcode/AppCode IDE, build processes, and dependency managers
• Experience with CI/CD, SAST/MAST tooling, and RESTful services
• Expertise in building responsive user experiences and knowledge of accessibility principles
• Familiarity with security concepts such as secure networking and OWASP Mobile Top 10
• Experience in mentoring engineers and leading technical teams
• A BS degree or higher in Computer Science with 7+ years of broad engineering experience

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience integrating with third-party libraries for security, video, and financial services
• Knowledge of performance, scalability, and engineering best practices
• Hands-on experience with architectural design patterns like UDF, MVVM, MVC, and Redux
• Experience implementing frameworks or platform libraries
