Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (6 days/month in the office)
As an Automation Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial leader advancing the automation and modernization of its infrastructure platforms. You will be contributing to the design and delivery of end-to-end solutions that enhance scalability, security, and efficiency across multiple environments. By leveraging agile delivery methods and DevOps practices, you will be ensuring continuous improvement, reducing organizational barriers, and driving innovation. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, solve complex challenges, and shape technology solutions with global impact.
Your main responsibilities: Performing sustainable continuous improvement by removing organizational barriers
- Managing stakeholder involvement, product SMEs, and project managers
- Maintaining an agile mindset by applying Lean and agile delivery methods
- Identifying automation and process improvement opportunities within the team
- Designing and developing end-to-end infrastructure automation solutions
- Investigating and resolving technical issues across multiple environments
- Supporting scoping and prioritization of engineering solution delivery
- Enabling disciplined agile delivery, production support, and DevOps pipelines
- Managing and reporting progress, risks, and dependencies
- Performing hands-on technical tasks within engineering initiatives
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Demonstrating experience in Cybersecurity, Development, or Operations environments
- Applying strong understanding of data, networks, and endpoint security domains
- Bringing knowledge of software architecture, design, and delivery
- Showing technical capability across full stack engineering with front- and back-end programming
- Working with CI/CD and DevOps methodologies and related tools (Git, Jira, Jenkins, Maven)
- Designing APIs using standards such as Swagger, OpenAPI 3.0, REST, SOAP, JSON, Microservices
- Programming with languages such as Python, C, JavaScript (NodeJS, ReactJS, HTML, CSS)
- Managing databases like MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
- Applying Agile testing practices such as TDD and BDD
- Communicating effectively with strong written and spoken English skills
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience working in system or application administration roles
- Knowledge of Splunk or similar monitoring tools
- Hands-on experience with Pyspark
- Background in Windows, Linux, or UNIX environments
- Experience in knowledge-sharing and promoting best practices across teams
