Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).

As a Cloud Engineer, you will be working for our Client, a leading organization in the financial industry dedicated to safeguarding its operations and customers from various financial and regulatory risks. You will be part of the Detection IT team within the Risk & Compliance department, developing and enhancing compliance systems for Transaction Monitoring using advanced Machine Learning techniques. Operating entirely on Google Cloud (GCP), you will collaborate with global teams to ensure efficient, secure, and scalable solutions for proactive risk management.

Your main responsibilities: Designing, coding, testing, and deploying solutions within the DRA development lifecycle

  • Supporting existing DRA services by resolving issues, enhancing automation, and improving service efficiency
  • Collaborating with various teams, including Compliance, Architecture, and Security, to ensure seamless integration
  • Implementing and maintaining cloud-based systems using Google Cloud services
  • Developing and optimizing scripts and automation tools using Bash, Python, Terraform, Jenkins, and Ansible
  • Managing databases and performing queries with SQL and BigQuery
  • Building and orchestrating containers using Docker and Kubernetes/GKE
  • Ensuring security through IAM, roles, service accounts, and code and container scans
  • Applying Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Jira, and Confluence for project management
  • Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback to peers

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Proven experience in full development lifecycle (requirements, design, development, testing, data, infrastructure)
  • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Proficiency in Bash/Shell scripting and Python programming
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems
  • Familiarity with SQL and databases such as MySQL and BigQuery
  • Understanding of containers and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes/GKE
  • Experience implementing DevOps principles and using tools like Terraform, Jenkins, and Ansible
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas
  • Ability to work effectively within a global, cross-regional team
  • Willingness to adapt, learn new technologies, and take ownership of tasks
  • Experience working on large IT or Cloud projects, particularly in the Banking and Financial Crime Risk domains
  • Familiarity with Agile development tools such as Scrum, Jira and Confluence
  • Knowledge of security practices related to IAM, roles, entitlements, and scans
  • Experience developing systems for proactive risk management
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across various teams and departments
