As a Gateway Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution that focuses on secure and efficient digital transactions. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of file transfer protocol business processes, ensuring seamless and secure data exchange across systems. Your role involves designing, building, and automating cloud-native applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the organization’s infrastructure. You will play a key role in troubleshooting distributed systems, optimizing deployment pipelines, and ensuring high availability and performance of critical business applications.

Your main responsibilities:

• Building file transfer protocol business processes
• Participating in the analysis and design activities
• Understanding requirements and identifying potential gaps
• Executing project-specific development activities following standards and quality parameters
• Assisting testers during test cycles
• Building automated deployment and testing pipelines
• Developing centralized alerting and monitoring dashboards
• Installing and configuring application servers such as JBoss, Tomcat, and WebLogic
• Writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
• Troubleshooting distributed systems and ensuring system reliability

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• 5-8 years of proven experience in network/gateway development and support
• Experience designing and building web environments on AWS, including services like EC2, ECS, DynamoDB, RDS, Step Functions, Lambda, and S3
• Experience building and maintaining cloud-native applications
• A solid background in Linux/Unix and Windows server system administration
• Proficiency in DevOps tools such as Ansible, Artifactory, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, and SonarQube
• Experience using monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, ELK Stack, and Prometheus
• Knowledge of one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, SQL, XML, R, Haskell, or Erlang
• Exposure to file transmission services of AWS, including SFTP, FTPS, and AS2 protocols
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot distributed systems
• Excellent communication skills and an open-minded approach to collaboration

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with security protocols and best practices in cloud environments
• Familiarity with financial services industry regulations and compliance
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks
• Knowledge of container orchestration and microservices architectures
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of cloud-based applications
