As a GCP DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution focused on leveraging advanced analytics and technology to manage financial crime risk globally. You will be involved in implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support compliance use cases, collaborating with various teams to ensure adherence to security and architecture standards, and enhancing automation practices. Your role will be pivotal in integrating big data technologies and supporting a global community of analysts and data scientists.

Your main responsibilities:

• Implementing CI/CD pipelines for compliance use cases on GCP
• Collaborating with architecture, security, and engineering teams to meet compliance requirements
• Sharing best practices with other development teams working on GCP
• Applying DevOps principles and tools for system automation on GCP
• Utilizing Python and shell scripting for automation and data processing
• Managing and optimizing cloud architecture and services on GCP
• Enhancing automation with tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Saltstack
• Supporting data transformation tasks using SQL or similar products

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Knowledge of cloud architecture and services, preferably GCP
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting, as well as Spark
• Experience with DevOps tools and principles, including Jenkins, Bamboo, and GitHub
• Strong skills in automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Saltstack
• GCP certification or equivalent cloud certification
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in an agile team across multiple regions
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and task ownership

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in data transformation using SQL or similar products
• Familiarity with additional cloud platforms beyond GCP
