As an Operations Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution, supporting the operational stability and integrity of key infrastructure. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring high service availability and compliance, contributing to the continuous improvement of technology products and services. This role requires a strong focus on automation, system monitoring, and incident resolution, while ensuring that all changes to the infrastructure are optimized for performance and reliability. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain resilient systems and enhance the overall user experience.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the operational stability, integrity, and availability of supported products and services
  • Managing incidents, outages, and issue resolution to maintain service continuity
  • Communicating directly with stakeholders regarding service issues and upcoming changes
  • Implementing infrastructure changes with an emphasis on automation and user experience
  • Monitoring systems to drive high availability and continuous integration through automation
  • Supporting service resilience, sustainability, and recovery time objectives for all delivered software
  • Automating the build, testing, and deployment process to ensure consistent high-quality results
  • Maintaining compliance with Service Management Standards and relevant controls
  • Staying updated on GO&A Technologies and tools, providing expert-level support
  • Contributing to local initiatives, including service improvements and mandatory testing

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • 3+ years of experience in an engineering or operations role
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure automation and DevOps principles
  • Experience with JavaScript, test automation, and database management
  • Fluent English
  • Ability to handle incident management and resolve operational issues effectively
  • Knowledge of service management systems and standards
  • Familiarity with system monitoring and high-availability infrastructure solutions
  • Proven track record of implementing infrastructure changes with a focus on automation
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges
  • Experience ensuring service resilience and recovery objectives

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Fluent French and/or German
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices
  • Experience in financial services or large-scale technology environments
