As a Senior Penetration Testing Coordinator, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution undertaking a critical transformation of its cybersecurity and risk management practices. You will play a key role in coordinating and managing penetration testing activities across various business lines and geographic regions. The project focuses on improving threat detection capabilities and ensuring comprehensive security assessments are conducted effectively. You will liaise with senior stakeholders, manage third-party vendors, and contribute to a mature cybersecurity governance framework, ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned with industry best practices.
Your main responsibilities: Coordinating global penetration testing activities across multiple business units and regions
- Managing vendor selection, test scoping, scheduling, and conflict resolution
- Organizing and leading planning sessions, status reviews, and risk assessments
- Communicating test progress, metrics, and outcomes to senior management
- Developing dashboards, KPI/KCI tracking tools, and governance matrices
- Maintaining data accuracy within systems tracking pen test outcomes
- Ensuring adherence to timelines and high-quality delivery standards
- Leading and motivating cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align testing with risk priorities
- Incorporating industry best practices into testing strategies and execution
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Possessing in-depth knowledge of penetration testing and cybersecurity
- Leading project planning and coordination within a cybersecurity function
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Using tools like Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and JIRA proficiently
- Managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
- Developing and tracking key performance and control indicators
- Maintaining accurate records of testing activities and results
- Motivating and managing high-performing global teams
- Ensuring quality assurance through structured and strategic oversight
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Holding a bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Possessing a current PMI certification (e.g., PMP)
- Earning cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or OSCP
- Demonstrating advanced skills in PowerBI and Confluence
- Delivering senior-level presentations clearly and persuasively
- Applying best practices in matrix and cross-regional team management
- Working independently with minimal supervision
- Integrating security testing strategies into wider risk frameworks
- Driving continuous process improvements across testing programs
- Understanding of enterprise-level security controls and architectures
