As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution that is building an advanced compliance transparency platform for software development teams. You will be a key member of a cross-functional team, enhancing the automation testing process and environment. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with developers, analysts, and other automation engineers, contributing to the automation of unit, integration, and acceptance tests within an agile CI/CD environment.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Enhancing the automation testing process for various types of tests, including unit, integration, and acceptance
  • Collaborating with the engineering team to design and implement automated test cases and improve test coverage
  • Developing and maintaining test scripts, automation programs, and test environments
  • Executing tests, analyzing results, and improving processes and tools in collaboration with team members
  • Developing performance metrics for regular reporting
  • Working in an agile CI/CD environment to ensure rapid, automated testing for each release
  • Participating actively in sprint planning, peer reviews, and automated test scripting
  • Contributing to building a regression test pack for existing features
  • Coaching and mentoring team members on automation best practices
  • Learning and growing within a dynamic and collaborative team environment

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Experience in using test automation tools like Cucumber, Selenium, and JUnit
  • Experience setting up UAT test automation for JavaScript/HTML web applications
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tooling and automated deployment tools
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Experience working within Agile frameworks, including Jira and Confluence
  • Understanding of microservices architecture
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent English
  • Willingness to get involved in development and support as needed

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Java or Kotlin development background
  • Experience improving user story development with TDD and BDD methodologies
  • Experience coaching or teaching others in automation engineering
