As a Production Support Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution, ensuring the seamless operation of critical services that enable corporate customers to manage their payment, reporting, and communication needs through advanced file transmission protocols. The services you’ll support are integral to the client’s operations, providing 24/7 availability to over 4,000 customers worldwide. You will play a vital role in incident management, service quality control, and maintaining compliance with industry-standard IT frameworks.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Investigating system failures and incidents reported on the services supported
  • Communicating with various Business & IT teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Performing root-cause analysis and implementing production fixes
  • Working within a global team to provide seamless support across regions
  • Adhering to SLAs and service delivery procedures defined by ITIL framework
  • Providing on-call support during weekends and public holidays
  • Ensuring compliance with IT Infrastructure requirements
  • Managing stakeholder expectations and maintaining high service standards
  • Monitoring and supporting file transmission protocols like SFTP, FTPS, AS2, SOAP, and Connect
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the support team

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Proven experience as a production technical support engineer
  • Flexibility to work in shifts and provide on-call support, especially during weekends
  • Excellent problem-solving and root cause investigation skills
  • Understanding of IT Infrastructure, particularly in a financial services context
  • Knowledge of Host to Host and SWIFT gateways
  • Experience with IBM Sterling Integrator and related technologies
  • Familiarity with Java, Unix/Linux environments, and Oracle Databases
  • Positive attitude and self-motivation, with a capacity to learn new knowledge
  • Ability to work effectively and professionally under pressure
  • Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • ITIL Accreditation
  • Knowledge of Payment & Cash Management systems
  • Familiarity with Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management procedures
  • Working knowledge of APIs and Cloud platforms
  • Basic knowledge of MQ and Micro Services architecture
