As a Python Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global leader in financial services, dedicated to harnessing the power of data and AI to drive innovation. You will be part of the Office of Applied AI, contributing to the development of Generative AI solutions by integrating diverse data sources and building robust data pipelines. Your work will help unlock new insights, enhance decision-making processes, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in ethical AI practices.

Your main responsibilities:

• Creating agents to source data from various systems for Generative AI models
• Developing data transfer pipelines to support AI-driven insights
• Building and synchronizing microservices within the broader Generative AI solutions
• Implementing and maintaining RESTful APIs using Python FastAPI
• Designing and optimizing data models for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) purposes
• Integrating time-series and analytics databases such as Elasticsearch
• Managing code through industry-standard version control tools like Git and GitHub
• Utilizing automated deployment tools, including Ansible and Jenkins
• Ensuring compatibility and functionality within Azure Cloud environments
• Collaborating with the team to quickly adapt to changing requirements

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong experience in Python and Unix/Linux environments
• Proficiency with time-series/analytics databases like Elasticsearch
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services
• Expertise in RESTful API development using Python FastAPI
• Experience working with Generative AI APIs
• Proven ability to build and manage data models and pipelines for RAG
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and development
• Familiarity with version control tools (Git, GitHub) and automated deployment (Ansible, Jenkins)
• Basic shell scripting skills
• Understanding of big data modeling techniques, both relational and non-relational

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with Cloud design patterns
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• A proactive, self-starting approach and a team-focused attitude
