Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (6 office days per/month).

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a global leader in financial services. The client is focused on enhancing organizational data governance and adopting standardized reference data across multiple systems. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Data & Analytics Office (DAO) to ensure data consistency, quality, and compliance with organizational standards. Your expertise will help streamline internal processes, establish data monitoring frameworks, and provide valuable insights to both business stakeholders and IT teams.

Your main responsibilities: Leading investigations into organizational reference data standards and their adoption progress

  • Supporting external system teams in adopting organizational standards for reference data
  • Collaborating with internal development pods to deliver dashboards and reports on the Google Cloud Platform
  • Acting as the first point of contact for project teams and stakeholders on reference data issues
  • Participating in data, IT, and governance architecture design sessions
  • Preparing and delivering documentation, training, and operating instructions on data governance
  • Providing feedback and preparing requirements for missing functionalities in corporate IT systems related to data governance
  • Tracking implementation progress and leading sign-offs during UATs
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across global networks
  • Monitoring data quality and ensuring adherence to governance standards

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • At least 8 years of industry experience, with 4+ years in leadership roles focused on reference data adoption and data quality monitoring
  • Expertise in data analysis, architecture, change management, and governance
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel), SQL (GoogleSQL), and other analytical tools
  • Strong understanding of Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, and Looker/Data Studio platforms
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with geographically dispersed, mid-to-senior level stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of the banking or financial services industry
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and proactively
  • Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience in the financial services industry or shared services organizations
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks and practices in large-scale organizations
  • Familiarity with data reporting tools like Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards for data governance
