Warsaw-based opportunity with hybrid work model (1 day in the office/week)

As a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, one of the leaders in online banking, contributing to the design and development of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud environments. You will collaborate with implementation teams from concept to deployment, ensuring automation and continuous development of infrastructure. Your role will involve working with public, hybrid, and multi-cloud solutions, focusing on CI/CD pipelines, containerized applications, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You will also drive best practices for cloud platforms and support technical documentation and monitoring systems.

Your main responsibilities: Working on projects in public, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments, designing and building secure, scalable, and resilient cloud environments for the Data Warehouse department

  • Designing and participating in internal software testing with a focus on task automation.
  • Collaborating with deployment teams from concept through implementation, maintenance, and continuous development.
  • Planning, implementing, and developing an infrastructure, application, and service monitoring system in the cloud.
  • Designing and developing automated processes for environment creation and configuration management.
  • Developing infrastructure as code.
  • Designing and implementing continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Maintaining applications in containers.
  • Analyzing, handling, and resolving detected issues.
  • Creating and updating system technical documentation.
  • Promoting best practices for cloud platforms.
  • Supporting the review of technical specifications and project documentation.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Higher education – preferably in technical fields (IT).
  • Experience working in a regulated corporate environment.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a complex data processing environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Azure or Google Cloud.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a creator, architect, developer, or deployment specialist, developing CI/CD for cloud applications using tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
  • At least 1 year of experience in “Infrastructure as Code” (IaC), using standard industry tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Chef).
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Proficiency in Git, experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence or equivalent tools.
  • Practical experience with Kubernetes and container technologies such as Docker.
  • Communicative proficiency in English, both spoken and written (technical documentation, communication with foreign services)

Nice to have:

  • Cloud technology certifications (Azure, GCP preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (LAN/WAN), network devices, Firewall, Proxy, Load Balancer, HTTP(s), SSH, TCP/IP, REST, SOAP web services
  • Experience working with Machine Learning platforms and tools
  • Experience as a database administrator
  • Experience with Hadoop ecosystem technologies such as HDFS, Pig, Hive, Impala, Spark, Kafka
