As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution that is dedicated to enhancing data management within its Risk & Finance functions. This initiative focuses on improving data governance, architecture, and quality while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will play a crucial role in managing data-related processes, collaborating with multiple teams, and driving improvements in data management strategies. Your expertise in data governance and regulatory frameworks will be essential in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and efficiency of data within the organization.
Your main responsibilities: Monitoring the implementation of local data management processes in alignment with the client’s global model
- Exploring and documenting data sources to establish clear data lineage
- Managing a portfolio of data quality issues, driving root cause analysis, and implementing solutions
- Collaborating with local Risk & Finance teams to align data strategies with business needs and regulatory compliance
- Tracking data quality issues, progress, and statistics while providing regular updates to data forums
- Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements such as BCBS239 and IFRS9
- Utilizing data management tools to enhance data governance and quality initiatives
- Developing reports and presentations to communicate insights and recommendations effectively
- Engaging with IT teams to understand and optimize data flows and system integrations
- Supporting strategic data initiatives by identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- 4+ years of experience in regulatory frameworks or complex organizations with multiple stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of Risk and Finance functions in a financial institution
- Experience in data management strategies and familiarity with data management tools
- Good understanding of IT systems and data flows
- Fluent English
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when assessing large volumes of information
- Ability to collaborate across functions and businesses, including IT, Risk, and Finance teams
- Experience in managing data quality issues and implementing resolution strategies
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Fluent French
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as BCBS239 or IFRS9
- Experience working in an international, multicultural environment
- Background in portfolio management related to data governance
- Familiarity with financial product data and risk assessment methodologies
