Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution engaged in a multi-year transformation program to enhance data accuracy, reporting, and risk management processes across their markets division. You will contribute to initiatives such as transitioning to a centralized results data store, enhancing P&L explain processes, and supporting improvements in fx position reporting and adjustment governance. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders across Product Control, Traded Risk, and IT, with a strong focus on business analysis, data quality, governance, and process improvement within the Global Markets environment.
Your main responsibilities: Liaising with stakeholders to gather and validate business requirements
- Analysing data exceptions and identifying root causes
- Coordinating with IT teams to assess and document technical solutions
- Partnering with Traded Risk to improve fx position and P&L processes
- Documenting business processes and ensuring compliance with governance standards
- Supporting testing activities and go-live initiatives
- Producing high-quality analysis to support the Product Control Change Manager
- Reviewing and enhancing data capture and adjustment processes
- Developing tools to simplify adjustment reviews and data visualisation
- Communicating effectively with stakeholders and producing clear project documentation
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Experience in business analysis within financial services
- Prior working knowledge of Markets and Securities Services in a line role
- Project delivery experience of at least two years, including data governance and data lineage
- Strong knowledge of Global Market products and behaviours
- Solid understanding of the full project lifecycle
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work autonomously and contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence across business and technical teams
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Part-qualified accountant or equivalent financial training
- Formal qualification in project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, PMP, Agile)
- Experience with data visualisation or business intelligence tools
- Experience working with global or offshore development teams
