Krakow-based opportunity with the possibility to work 80% remote

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global leader in the banking industry, where you will contribute to the development of SmartServe – a cutting-edge client onboarding platform for Global Banking and Markets. The goal of the project is to streamline and improve the client experience, transforming the way corporate and institutional clients interact with the bank. You will work with the latest technologies and be part of a collaborative environment that encourages innovation, agility, and a customer-first mindset.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing and developing features using Java 8+ and React JS
• Debugging existing code and extending functionality as needed
• Writing REST APIs and implementing microservice architecture
• Writing tests to verify functionalities and endpoints
• Using CI/CD tools to implement continuous integration and deployment
• Ensuring security is integrated into all functionalities, services, and endpoints
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve platform performance and stability
• Contributing to production support on a rotation basis
• Applying business priorities and customer-focused approach in all tasks
• Continuously learning new technologies and staying updated with industry best practices

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong knowledge of Java 8+ and React JS
• Experience with microservice architecture and REST API development
• Proficiency in writing and running automated tests
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines
• Ability to integrate security into service functionalities and endpoints
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with database schema design, preferably PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and working in DevOps PODs
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
• Strong communication and presentation skills

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in the banking or financial services industry
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices and production support
• Familiarity with microservices and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of security best practices in software development
• Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS or GCP
