As a Senior Software Engineer with DevOps skills, you will be working for our client, a global organization driving innovation in the life sciences sector. You will contribute to the development of a resilient FX Platform designed to support mission-critical workflows and globally accessible services. The platform prioritizes modularity, observability, and performance, and your role will be key in pushing these goals forward. With a strong focus on developer experience, automation, and code quality, this is a high-impact opportunity to shape a cutting-edge platform that serves users worldwide while mentoring peers and setting engineering standards.

Your main responsibilities: Build and maintain modular, customer-facing web applications with SEO in mind

• Design composable REST and GraphQL APIs for multi-region use
• Refactor existing services for scalability, security, and maintainability
• Develop reusable frontend components using React 18+
• Create and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform or CDK
• Implement and maintain CI/CD workflows with GitHub Actions
• Ensure platform reliability through observability and SRE best practices
• Automate operational tasks to improve developer experience
• Collaborate on architecture decisions and establish coding best practices
• Mentor team members and promote a clean, scalable codebase

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript with experience in React 18+ and Node.js
• Deep understanding of modular architecture and composable API design
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CDK, or similar)
• Strong background in serverless or microservice architectures
• Familiarity with multi-region, customer-facing application deployments
• Experience implementing security best practices in backend services
• Proficiency with Docker and CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions preferred)
• Exposure to observability tools such as DataDog or similar platforms
• Passion for improving developer experience through tooling and automation
• Strong communication, mentorship, and collaboration skills
