Senior Tester

As a Senior Tester, you will be working for our client, a prominent global financial institution, on critical projects aimed at ensuring the robustness and reliability of complex banking applications. Your role will involve collaborating with IT and Business teams to establish comprehensive testing frameworks that validate system functionalities and enhance customer experiences. You will be responsible for leading the testing efforts, including designing automated test solutions, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality testing deliverables.

Your main responsibilities:

• Collaborating with IT and Business teams to establish effective testing for banking applications
• Providing consultancy to the functional test team in documenting business scenarios
• Translating business use cases into functional, non-functional, and regression test cases
• Coordinating with Business Analysts during requirement understanding and project demos
• Contributing to the preparation of test strategies, project estimation, and automated test design
• Supporting end-to-end testing, including defect clarification and resolution
• Ensuring the availability and quality of test data, promoting reuse of shared testing artifacts
• Evaluating gathered information and conducting impact analysis across projects and platforms
• Capturing defects, retesting remediated defects, and ensuring their closure
• Conducting root cause analysis for defects and implementing preventive measures

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Extensive knowledge of testing methodologies and strategies
• Proficiency with tools like SQL, Cucumber, Selenium, Tosca, Python, REST API, JIRA, and Java
• Experience working in DevOps teams and Agile environments
• Strong background in functional testing, API testing, automation testing, and performance testing
• Fluent English
• Experience in team management and coordination
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
• Proactive and self-motivated attitude with strong problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of the software project lifecycle and customer-focused mindset
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with Business Driven Development (BDD)
• Previous experience in the financial services industry
• Advanced analytical skills and experience conducting impact analysis across multiple platforms
