Senior BigData Developer

As a Big Data Developer, you will be working for our client, one of the leaders in online banking, contributing to the implementation and design of modern data processing systems and big data systems in accordance with the Scrum process and client requirements.

Your main responsibilities: Implement and design modern data processing systems and big data systems

• Utilize Hadoop Cloudera/Hortonworks platform knowledge effectively
• Optimize Spark processes and ensure their successful implementation
• Work with various data formats including JSON, PARQUET, ORC, AVRO
• Demonstrate proficiency in SQL at an advanced level
• Integrate data from multiple sources effectively
• Utilize tools for project/application development like Maven
• Apply practical knowledge of CI/CD automation
• Collaborate with Agile processes and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Kanban, Scrum

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the IT industry
• Proficiency in Big Data concepts, Data Warehousing, and Data Management
• Commercial experience of at least 3 years in Python/Scala/Java
• Practical experience with database types and use cases like Hive, Kudu, HBase, etc
• Knowledge of Agile processes and tools would be advantageous
• Practical familiarity with Kubeflow platform is a plus
• Understanding of streaming technologies and tools like Kafka, Apache Nifi
• Ability to script for automation (Ansible)
