As a Senior Citrix Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution renowned for its extensive virtual desktop infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the Citrix Lifecycle Management POD, which delivers Windows 10 desktops to over 150,000 users worldwide. This role involves technical operations, service management, and process automation to ensure seamless and efficient virtual desktop delivery. You will also coordinate with external service providers and work on optimizing operational excellence through innovative solutions.

Your main responsibilities:

• Managing technical operations and service delivery for Windows 10 virtual desktops using Citrix XenDesktop
• Coordinating technical activities with external service providers
• Supporting projects and designing solutions to meet business requirements
• Automating processes and workflows to enhance operational efficiency
• Creating and managing automated reports for better visibility and control
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Citrix environments
• Implementing improvements in desktop provisioning and related processes
• Engaging with stakeholders globally and providing technical expertise

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Expertise in Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp
• Hands-on experience with Netscaler, including firmware upgrades and troubleshooting
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and reporting tools for Citrix technologies
• Strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems (2012/16/19)
• Knowledge of server virtualization with VMware ESXi, vCenter, and SQL Database
• Familiarity with application and patch deployment via SCCM
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for global stakeholder interaction
• Ability to provide on-call support and manage weekend implementations

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Expertise in Appsense, including environment configurations and troubleshooting
• Understanding of infrastructure monitoring with tools like SCOM and SPLUNK
• Knowledge of VDI administration within Azure
• Awareness of ITIL and Agile processes
• Experience with core infrastructure evergreening and migrations
