As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global leader in the financial sector, focusing on transforming their payment systems. You will automate test cases for non-UI, TDD, and BDD scenarios, enhance existing frameworks, and ensure that all payment flows are thoroughly tested. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex banking systems with cutting-edge technologies, collaborating with teams to optimise and maintain seamless operations for continuous releases.

Your main responsibilities:

• Performing system, end-to-end integration, and regression testing in continuous releases
• Automating test cases with a focus on non-UI, TDD, and BDD
• Enhancing the existing automation framework with new integration patterns
• Collaborating with BA and Dev Teams to design and execute test cases
• Managing defect triage and driving issue resolution
• Continuously improving test automation practices and staying updated with new tools
• Contributing to Agile ceremonies and supporting sprint goals
• Tracking progress through status reports, daily standups, and dashboards
• Supporting business stakeholders in technical live testing
• Managing test automation within the CI/CD pipeline

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong experience in automation, including BDD, TDD, and non-UI automation
• Proficiency in Python and Java programming
• Expertise in Selenium, Maven, TestNG, and API automation
• Solid experience with automating database queries (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
• In-depth knowledge of integrating automated tests with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Ansible, GIT)
• Experience with cloud-based testing (GCP, AWS) and microservices architecture
• Familiarity with tools like Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, and Load Runner
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for test case management and reporting
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud environments
• Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker for test automation
• Technical know-how of version control using GIT and GitHub
• Knowledge of GCP and AWS for cloud testing environments
• Background in payments systems, especially SWIFT MT and MX
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and the ability to contribute to all ceremonies
