Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (6 days/month in the office)

As a Vice President – Financial Reporting (Group), you will be working for our client, a global financial institution undergoing continuous transformation to meet international regulatory standards and reporting requirements. You will be part of a team responsible for delivering high-quality financial disclosures and consolidated reports in compliance with IFRS, SEC, and GAAP standards. This role plays a critical part in driving reporting accuracy, improving control frameworks, and supporting change management initiatives. You will also engage in interpreting accounting standards, ensuring compliance, and contributing to strategic decisions impacting global finance operations.

Your main responsibilities: Preparing and reviewing financial reports under IFRS, SEC, and GAAP frameworks

  • Interpreting complex accounting guidance and applying it to practical reporting scenarios
  • Assessing the impact of structural and regulatory changes on financial consolidation
  • Leading and mentoring a team to deliver timely and accurate disclosures
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement reporting enhancements
  • Performing analytical reviews to ensure consistency and accuracy of disclosures
  • Driving improvements in risk and control processes related to financial reporting
  • Participating in change management initiatives across global reporting functions
  • Using tools such as Wdesk and Saracen to support reporting efficiency
  • Communicating effectively with senior stakeholders and regulators

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • A professional finance qualification with 10–15 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience in financial reporting under IFRS, SEC, or GAAP standards
  • Strong knowledge of risk and control frameworks in financial environments
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex reporting issues
  • Experience in managing ambiguity and synthesizing multiple data sources
  • Understanding of disclosure requirements and their interdependencies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and delivering results
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive process improvements
  • Experience supporting change and innovation within reporting functions

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Working experience with Wdesk or Saracen
  • Experience in driving strategic change management initiatives
  • Familiarity with acquisitions, disposals, and their reporting implications
  • Exposure to legal structure changes and their financial impact
  • Involvement in system changes and automation within reporting teams
  • Background in process transformation in a global financial institution
