Cybersecurity Engineer – Take Charge of Cloud Security!
Warsaw/Łódź-based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days in the office/month).
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be working for our client, one of the leaders in online banking, engaged in an ambitious transformation towards secure cloud-based environments. You will support a wide range of IT security projects with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure, including M365, Azure, and GCP. Your work will involve designing cybersecurity monitoring solutions, ensuring secure cloud migrations, and enhancing protection mechanisms across digital processes. This role offers a dynamic environment where you’ll contribute to the security resilience of a major financial institution’s systems and respond to evolving cyber threats.
Your main responsibilities: Support the implementation of secure cloud environments using M365, Azure, and GCP
- Ensure safe migration of IT systems to cloud infrastructures
- Design and select monitoring solutions for cloud security architecture
- Assist in IT projects with focus on cybersecurity components
- Maintain and develop systems supporting cybersecurity monitoring and cyberattack prevention
- Collaborate with IT teams to align system and process changes with cybersecurity requirements
- Conduct threat and vulnerability analyses of banking systems
- Support the Security Operations Center in managing IT security incidents
- Utilize native security tools provided by cloud vendors
- Create documentation and reports related to cybersecurity initiatives
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Higher education in a technical field such as IT, mathematics, or electronics
- Knowledge of public cloud services (M365, Azure, GCP) across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS models
- Expertise in at least one cloud technology in terms of security (preferably M365, Azure, or GCP – prefered)
- Practical experience with native cloud security tools
- Familiarity with other cybersecurity technologies, especially network and system security
- Proficiency in analyzing IT infrastructure vulnerabilities and threats
- Understanding of internet-facing security technologies
- Knowledge of IT security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS)
- Good English communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and eagerness to expand knowledge
Nice to have:
- Industry certifications in cloud security technologies such as Azure, AWS, GCP, and general certifications like CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+
- Knowledge of cloud service usage in regulated sectors
- Familiarity with sector-specific regulations, including: KNF Cloud Communication, Banking Law Act, KNF Recommendation D, GDPR, PSD2, UKSC
