Katowice-based opportunity with hybrid work model (1 day in the office/month).

As a Database Administrator (Oracle) with French, you will be working for our client, a European leader in digital transformation. This role involves maintaining and improving database environments for major clients, ensuring availability, performance, and data integrity. You will work in a multicultural and fast-paced environment that requires technical precision, strong communication, and incident management skills. With a focus on Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server, you will play a vital role in managing, supporting, and evolving database systems that are at the core of digital services.

Your main responsibilities: Provide second-line support for incidents, changes, and requests

  • Intervene on production incidents to ensure minimal downtime
  • Coordinate and assist with application migrations across environments
  • Study and implement database monitoring and operational tools
  • Write detailed installation, deployment, and operations manuals
  • Respond quickly to critical incidents and escalate when necessary
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding incidents and changes
  • Support database deployments and patching in complex environments
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of database systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for infrastructure integration

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Excellent expertise in Oracle database administration
  • Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server
  • Experience with Sybase databases
  • Fluency in French at a minimum B2 level
  • Willingness to be available for on-call duties
  • Strong understanding of production incident management
  • Experience with database monitoring and automation tools
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation
  • Good communication skills for direct client interaction
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux and Windows environments
  • Ability to manage priorities in fast-paced support scenarios

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Knowledge of VTOM (scheduler)
  • Knowledge of cloud environments: Azure, AWS
