As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution, as they undergo a critical infrastructure transformation. You will be instrumental in migrating their existing Solaris Oracle DB and Java microservices environment to a modern, cloud-native architecture. Your focus will be on building and enhancing their CI/CD pipeline, transitioning from current solutions to Tekton and ArgoCD. Furthermore, you will play a key role in establishing comprehensive monitoring and observability solutions, addressing current gaps and ensuring the stability and performance of their applications. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of their software delivery and the overall reliability of their systems, leveraging cutting-edge DevOps practices.

Your main responsibilities: Migrate build-deploy pipelines to Tekton and ArgoCD

  • Implement and enhance monitoring and observability solutions using Influx, Grafana, and Splunk
  • Manage and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Automate infrastructure and application deployments using scripting languages
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize deployment workflows
  • Implement infrastructure as code practices
  • Optimize system performance and scalability
  • Ensure security best practices are implemented

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python)
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker)
  • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Tekton, ArgoCD)
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Influx, Grafana, Splunk)
  • Strong understanding of Java microservices architecture
  • Experience working with Oracle databases and SQL
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code principles
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
