Shape the Future of Banking Infrastructure as a DevOps Engineer!
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading organization in the banking sector, focused on optimizing and maintaining the stability of critical applications. Your primary role will involve managing various application components, ensuring their performance and security, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and enhance the environment. The client’s environment includes both on-premises solutions and a few elements in Azure, with a stable set of applications that require ongoing maintenance and occasional updates.
Your main responsibilities: Maintain and optimize assigned application components, including Hashicorp Vault, InfluxDB, Grafana, Redis, and Redhat Ansible Automation Platform
- Configure applications using Ansible, ensuring compatibility with the client’s infrastructure
- Deploy new application versions and handle version-related upgrades
- Solve application-related issues to ensure continuous operation
- Configure applications according to security team guidelines and harden systems to meet security standards
- Carry out operational tasks such as reconfigurations, certificate exchanges, and other maintenance activities
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners in building and managing application environments
- Support development and testing teams in troubleshooting issues within test environments
- Participate in projects like migrating secrets to Vault, upgrading components, and expanding environments
- Assign sub-tasks to other teams (network, infrastructure, storage) to ensure smooth project delivery
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Strong experience with Hashicorp Vault, InfluxDB, Grafana, Redis, and Redhat Ansible Automation Platform
- Proficiency in Ansible for configuration and automation tasks
- Experience in deploying and maintaining applications in on-premises environments
- Ability to work with containerized applications using Docker Compose
- Solid understanding of security best practices and experience with system hardening
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and its application in production environments
- Experience in troubleshooting complex application issues in development and test environments
- Good collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Ability to manage operational tasks and coordinate with other teams (network, infrastructure, storage)
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies as needed
