Full Stack Engineer

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution undergoing a major transformation project. This initiative aims to modernize core banking systems, focusing on payment-related services and interfaces. You will play a key role in developing and supporting both back-end and front-end services, ensuring seamless processing of SEPA payments, SWIFT messages, and internal accounting entries. This project emphasizes reducing operational costs and complexity, enhancing automation, and increasing the efficiency of payment processing systems.

Your main responsibilities:

• Developing, maintaining, and supporting services using Java with Spring Boot
• Managing payment services portfolio hosted on cloud and on-premises environments
• Developing, maintaining, and supporting service-related interfaces using APIs or microservices patterns
• Using tools like Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, RTC, G3, and Nexus for artifact management and code release
• Following Agile & DevOps methodologies and using tools like Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint
• Collaborating with Business Analysts and Project/Product Managers to translate business requirements into development sprints
• Ensuring high Straight-Through-Processing (STP) capabilities of services
• Adopting automation testing frameworks to reduce testing costs
• Supporting integration with surrounding systems through modern integration layers
• Maintaining and preserving standard products while building new services and microservices

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Experience with Java 8+, with preference for Java 17+
• Knowledge of Spring/Spring Boot
• Proficiency in database technologies and SQL, with Oracle being preferred
• Understanding of ReSTful microservices and APIs
• Experience working in a DevOps delivery team
• Familiarity with HTTP Web technologies and JavaScript, with preference for React
• Experience with artifact management tools like Git, GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, RTC, G3, and Nexus
• Understanding of Agile & DevOps methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint
• Strong collaboration skills to work with Business Analysts and Project/Product Managers
• Ability to support integration layers such as APIs, MuleSoft, Kafka, microservices patterns, Juniper Ingress/Egress patterns, or WMB EAI/MQ

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with Oracle database technologies
• Familiarity with automation testing frameworks
• Understanding of microservices patterns and their orchestration layers
• Knowledge of financial services, specifically in payment processing systems
• Experience with both cloud and on-premises hosting environments
