Mobile App Automation Made Awesome with Appium!

Krakow-based opportunity with the possibility to work remotely!

As a Mobile Automation Test Engineer, you will be working with both your team and other cross-functional teams on planning and executing tests using the latest UI/Mobile test automation technologies, processes, and tools.

Your key responsibilities:

• Performing system, integration, and functional tests for mobile applications
• Documenting test results by raising defect tickets and creating reports
• Working closely, communicating and planning with BA, PO, APM, and DEV
• Ensuring that delivered functionalities are covered by automated tests on a proper level
• Designing and maintaining automation script suites of delivered functionalities
• Participating in an engineering discipline, best practices, and standards compliance within the company and global IT
• Supporting other testers in the team
• Contributing and developing test strategy and test approach in Mobile Automation in the Team
• Contributing to the improvements of the testing process and automation frameworks as part of the wider QA & Test Community

The ideal candidate has:

• Extensive experience with native/hybrid mobile applications testing
• Proficiency in clearly determining QA objectives and standards by analyzing requirements
• Broad experience in testing types, including unit, functional, non-functional, regression, exploratory, UAT, ad-hoc, and compatibility testing
• Understanding the continuous delivery of mobile applications
• Knowledge of what constitutes useful automation and how to write it
• Git flow understanding
• Working experience with Agile methodologies
• Proficient in BDD and Gherkin syntax
• Good understanding of using an object-oriented programming language
• Working experience with Java
• Experience with Maven, Jenkins, GitHub
• Hands-on experience with Appium / Espresso (Kaspresso) / XCUITest / Junit
• REST Assured and API testing knowledge

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Exposure to Accessibility Testing
• Experience in using XCTest / Mockito / Postman
• Security testing knowledge
• Performance testing experience with JMeter or similar tools
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
• Basic knowledge of cloud-based infrastructure platforms
• Understanding of testing microservices
