Senior AI/ML Backend Engineer – Large Language Models & RAG

As a Senior AI/ML Backend Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leader in financial technology, developing cutting-edge AI-driven applications for Credit & Lending fields. You will contribute to building sophisticated models leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and cloud solutions, driving impactful innovations in financial services.

Your main responsibilities:

• Design, test, and optimize prompts for LLMs to ensure high-quality outputs for Credit & Lending use cases.
• Develop and implement solutions using RAG and vector databases to extract insights from complex financial data.
• Participate in the full lifecycle of AI solutions, from problem discovery and prototyping to deployment and scaling.
• Apply AI best practices to promote fairness, transparency, and accountability across models and applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical efforts with strategic business goals.
• Write and maintain high-quality, reusable, and testable code utilizing cloud platforms (Azure, GCP).
• Co-author solutions architecture and maintain products in production environments.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 3+ years of experience in Python and Java development.
• Proficiency with frameworks like FastAPI, LangChain, and Spring.
• Strong knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL), Vector Databases, and KV stores such as Redis.
• Experience with Microservices architecture, API design, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GCP Cloud Build).
• Practical expertise in TDD, BDD, and working with LLM architectures in domain-specific data.
• Knowledge of RAG, Prompt Engineering, and Agentic architectures.
• Background in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and experimenting with LLMs for AI solutions.
• Fluent English communication skills, with the ability to present technical solutions clearly to business stakeholders.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certifications or experience in cloud infrastructure, microservices, or advanced NLP techniques.
