As a Program Manager, you will be working for our Client – one of the most prestigious investment banks in the world. As a successful consultant, you will join the team that provides resilience measurement and monitoring for the firm’s important business services. The program involves architecting and building the tooling from scratch on a cutting-edge technology stack that is highly scalable and performant to support 3k+ users firmwide. The tooling would be built with the intent to be fully cloud-native over the next few years while starting in a hybrid model using containerized deployments in view of time to market.
Your main responsibilities: organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission of Resilience Engineering
- Maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders across engineering, services, business, and partner teams
- Coaching and mentoring others in planning, organizing, and coordinating work
- Promoting and going beyond existing solutions and technologies to introduce new ideas
- Understanding strategic plans, business, process, and architecture and using that to influence the design and develop solutions
- Identifying and removing impediments at a program level, leveraging stakeholders, sponsorship, and other relationships to do so
- Providing transparency of progress and issues to all relevant stakeholders while leading program delivery through agile methodologies
- Working with the product owner to build the strategic vision and forward-looking 6-12-month roadmap and refine the backlog
You’re ideal for the role if you have:
- A minimum 6 years of experience across technology and project management – preferably with a focus on a business analysis/project/program management function
- Strong analytical skills
- Project management skills including project scope definition; project issues, challenges, risks definition; status reporting; User Acceptance Test execution
- Experience scoping and driving delivery of projects – has delivered results in a cross-functional team setting, on time to budget
- Familiarity with Agile software development principles and various ceremonies etc.
- Ability to use facilitation skills to lead data gathering, analysis, and design efforts
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent English
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Knowledge of products and processes related to the financial services industry and operational risks and resiliency would be an advantage
- Agile program leadership experience in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different organizations, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc.)
- Experience with developing products using customer and design-centric practices
- Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks, Agile Testing practices
- Experience with tools like JIRA and JIRA Portfolio
