Regulatory Change Identification Lead

As a Regulatory Change Identification Lead, you will be working for our client, a global financial services institution committed to maintaining regulatory excellence across its extensive international operations. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and documenting regulatory changes that impact the business globally. This includes monitoring regulatory authorities, working with third-party vendors, and collaborating with compliance and legal teams to assess applicability and ensure timely and accurate regulatory tracking. Your work will directly contribute to the company’s ability to stay compliant in an ever-evolving regulatory environment.

Your main responsibilities: Monitor regulatory authorities and third-party vendor sources to identify relevant regulatory changes

  • Perform manual identification of regulatory changes where automated tools are unavailable
  • Review and disposition regulatory changes from external intake sources as applicable or not applicable
  • Complete regulatory scope assessments in consultation with internal compliance teams
  • Create and maintain detailed Regulatory Change Identification Records in the internal tracking system
  • Identify impacted assessment units and coordinate with appropriate regulation coverage leads
  • Assign extra-territorial regulation flags and ensure guidance is applied in regulatory records
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks in accordance with internal metrics and key performance indicators
  • Escalate overdue tasks to senior management following governance and escalation protocols
  • Maintain linkage between manual entries and their automated source records when applicable

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Fluency in English and strong communication skills across verbal and written formats
  • Demonstrated experience with compliance laws, regulatory risk management, or regulatory change processes
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset with the ability to adapt to evolving priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments and levels
  • Ability to manage projects and multitask in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and provide meaningful insights
  • Experience working independently and within a collaborative team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail in documentation and reporting
