Senior Business Analyst

Krakow-based opportunity with the possibility to work 70% remotely!

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution, on a critical regulatory compliance project. The project aims to meet the requirements of the BCBS “Fundamental Review of the Trading Book” (FRTB) by enhancing data quality and alignment between Hypothetical P&L and Risk Theoretical P&L. This multi-year program involves close collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and compliance with the new standards.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Producing high-quality project analysis to support the Product Control Change Manager
  • Ensuring all documentation aligns with the Business Transformation Framework (BTF)
  • Liaising with IT teams to assess and document project requirements clearly
  • Performing accurate and efficient data analysis within planned milestones
  • Liaising with Finance, Product Control, and IT teams to confirm requirements, data attributes, and testing
  • Supporting the project by documenting clear processes for handover to the business line
  • Building good working relationships within the business and IT teams
  • Ensuring high-standard written business project documentation with clearly defined business benefits
  • Providing change management sign-off for any documentation
  • Supporting requested changes from Product Control leads and ground teams

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • Prior working knowledge of Markets and Securities Services via line role experience
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail
  • Experience in project delivery for at least two years, preferably with hands-on experience in data quality and governance projects
  • Solid understanding of the project lifecycle, preferably with a relevant qualification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Self-motivation and rapid learning capability in a changing environment
  • Delivery-focused mindset with a high standard of quality
  • A ‘can do’ attitude, willing to support the team in various tasks
  • Ability to build relationships and influence others, including senior managers and technical experts

It is a strong plus if you have:

  • Experience in financial services
  • Part-qualified accountant status
  • Knowledge of Global Market Products and behaviors
  • Understanding of Agile, Sprint, Scrum, and Kanban principles
  • Shows willingness and potential for increasing their responsibilities within the team
