Senior Python Engineer

Kraków – based opportunity with hybrid work model (2 days/week in the office).

As a Senior Python Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial services leader modernizing its internal video infrastructure and communication platforms. You will be leading the design and implementation of robust video-related applications used across the organization. The project focuses on creating scalable and secure tools in Node.js and Python while ensuring seamless integration with internal systems and external vendor platforms. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders and ensure the solutions align with enterprise standards and are ready for operational handover.

Your main responsibilities: Leading the development of internal video applications from concept to deployment

• Designing and implementing efficient backend solutions using Node.js and Python
• Collaborating with vendors to align solutions with technical guidelines and security principles
• Integrating internal application components and services to ensure seamless interoperability
• Documenting technical processes and development workflows for maintainability
• Preparing solutions for handover and working closely with the Operations team
• Managing stakeholder communication and presenting solutions clearly and effectively
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams to align project requirements and timelines

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Strong software development expertise in backend technologies like Node.js and Python
• Experience working on Linux and Windows server environments
• Ability to manage and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders
• Proficiency in English for clear business-level communication across diverse teams
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude toward challenges
• Familiarity with software architecture principles and secure coding practices
• Experience building and supporting applications in production environments
• Ability to document solutions clearly for operational handover
• Strong collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to analyze requirements and present clear, structured technical solutions

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with video processing or media streaming technologies
• Familiarity with enterprise IT compliance and governance standards
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices
• Exposure to vendor management and third-party software integration
