Senior React Developer

As a Senior React Developer, you will be working for our client, a leading global financial institution supporting diverse business units with scalable, modern digital interfaces. You will be part of a dedicated UI Libraries team, responsible for driving the adoption of cutting-edge UI technologies and shaping the firm’s design system. Your work will directly influence the visual consistency and usability of hundreds of internal and external applications across multiple platforms, ensuring a cohesive and accessible user experience.

Your main responsibilities: Develop and maintain reusable components for a cross-platform UI library

  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to improve the visual language and design system
  • Evaluate and introduce new UI technologies to enhance development workflows
  • Ensure high accessibility standards (WCAG) across all frontend components
  • Support internal teams in implementing consistent UX across web and mobile platforms
  • Participate in code reviews and advocate for best coding practices and testing strategies
  • Troubleshoot UI-related issues across applications and suggest long-term solutions
  • Lead integration efforts with SSR frameworks like NextJS or Gatsby
  • Optimize performance and responsiveness of user-facing features
  • Contribute to technical documentation for shared frontend libraries

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience developing complex web applications with React and TypeScript
  • Strong understanding of clean code principles and frontend testing methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with monorepos and build tools like Bazel or Webpack
  • Familiarity with server-side rendering (SSR) and progressive web app (PWA) concepts
  • Experience implementing accessible web applications (WCAG standards)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Working knowledge of CSS-in-JS styling approaches
  • Experience with agile software development and delivery practices
