As a Senior Software Engineer – Payment Systems Production Support, you will be working for our client, a leading player in the financial technology industry dedicated to delivering secure and reliable payment solutions globally. You will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the stability of payment systems, ensuring continuous and efficient transaction processing to support business growth and customer satisfaction. Your main responsibilities:

• Monitor and troubleshoot production payment systems to identify and resolve issues promptly, minimizing downtime and impact on customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy updates, patches, and improvements ensuring system robustness.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Document operational procedures, incident reports, and best practices for the team.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing support processes and system performance.
• Support the onboarding and training of junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing.
• Participate in incident and change coordination meetings, ensuring clear communication and effective resolution.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Min. 5+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably within payment systems or financial technology.
• Proficiency in core payment protocols and transaction processing systems.
• Strong programming skills in Java, C#, or a similar language.
• Experience with system monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting tools.
• Knowledge of payment industry standards, such as ISO 20022 or SWIFT, is a plus.
• Understanding of database management and SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and hybrid deployment environments.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Certifications in payment security or related fields.
• Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
