As a Senior UI Developer, you will be working for one of the most prestigious investment banks in the world. You will be at the forefront of designing and building the next-generation risk system for Client’s Markets businesses. Leveraging cutting-edge technology, you will develop modern, high-quality user interfaces to meet the complex needs of traders, supervisors, regulators, and finance staff in an increasingly electronic business environment. Your contributions will directly influence the evolution of frameworks, APIs, and the strategic direction of the team.

Your main responsibilities: Design and develop high-quality, modern UIs for various stakeholders including developers, support teams, quants, and finance staff

• Participate in a fast-paced Agile development process ensuring simplicity, maintainability, and reuse in all software solutions
• Conduct thorough automated testing using unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability
• Collaborate closely with business teams and aligned developers to analyze and capture requirements defining innovative solutions
• Engage in code and design reviews adhering to and promoting architectural standards and development best practices
• Proactively contribute to the architectural evolution of frameworks, APIs, and technical strategies
• Provide mentorship and support to team members fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and growth
• Communicate effectively with support teams, development teams, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless project execution

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• A minimum of 6 years of commercial experience as a Frontend Developer (including 3 years in React)
• Advanced knowledge of modern JavaScript tooling, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript (minimum 2 years’ experience)
• Proficiency in Node.js and npm including experience publishing npm libraries
• Solid understanding of RESTful web services and API design
• Strong technical writing skills for documentation
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a precise and high-quality approach that is also pragmatic and collaborative
• A good understanding of data structures and computer science fundamentals
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in investment banking or finance
• Familiarity with GraphQL and micro-frontends
• Experience building developer tooling or working with messaging systems and event-driven architectures
• Interest in UX and a track record of delivering high-quality UIs
