As a Technical Lead Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution developing a strategic pricing platform for their investment banking division. In this role, you will lead a team focused on creating innovative and high-performing solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements. Your expertise in software development, architecture, and engineering will drive the platform’s development, ensuring it aligns with business needs while enhancing customer satisfaction and delivering exceptional quality. You will also collaborate with global teams to foster a culture of innovation and professionalism.

Your main responsibilities:

• Designing and building solutions that align with business and IT initiatives
• Increasing customer satisfaction by delivering high-performance, scalable solutions
• Collaborating with global teams to ensure coordination across regional boundaries
• Fostering a collaborative environment to adopt best practices and deliver on-time
• Leading end-to-end development from design to deployment, including automated testing
• Managing system performance and optimizing solutions to help grow revenue
• Ensuring code quality and system reliability through continuous integration and monitoring
• Mentoring junior developers and driving technical excellence within the team
• Identifying and minimizing inefficiencies in the development process
• Working closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Extensive hands-on experience in software development with Java/Python platforms
• In-depth knowledge of micro-services architecture and MongoDB
• Proven experience in end-to-end development with automated testing and deployment
• Strong expertise in Unix, Git, Python builds, Jenkins, and Ansible
• Proficiency with modern DevOps tools and techniques
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for learning new technologies
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and working in Agile teams
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with global teams
• Expertise in designing, developing, and deploying high-performance applications
• Ability to drive projects to completion with an engineering mindset

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of observability platforms like Grafana
• Understanding of investment banking or fixed income business
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence for documentation
• Skills in relationship building with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with strategy development and execution
