Test Software Engineer

As a Test Software Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global leader in financial services undertaking a major overhaul of their banking systems. You will be pivotal in ensuring the reliability and performance of their software by developing and executing automated test cases, managing test data, and coordinating end-to-end testing processes. Your role will involve working closely with various teams to deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.

Your main responsibilities:

• Understanding business use cases and preparing Traceability Matrices
• Creating and executing automated test cases and managing test data
• Raising defects and documenting test results
• Ensuring end-to-end testing deliverables are completed on time and within budget
• Ensuring data availability and quality for testing
• Promoting re-use through implementation of shared testing artifacts
• Evaluating information for impact analysis across projects and platforms
• Writing automated regression test scenarios
• Conducting test result walkthroughs with business stakeholders
• Capturing defects, retesting remediated defects, and documenting lessons learned

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Knowledge of testing methodologies and strategies
• Proficiency in tools such as Java, Python, REST API, SQL, and Business Driven Development
• Experience in functional testing and automation testing using Selenium, Cucumber, and JUnit
• Ability to build and maintain good working relationships
• Proactive and self-motivated attitude
• Basic analysis and problem-solving skills
• Customer-focused mindset
• Knowledge of the software project lifecycle
• Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
• Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in performance testing
• Advanced expertise in automation testing tools
• Background in financial services or banking systems
