As a Senior Infrastructure as Code Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial services organization committed to innovation and operational resilience. You will help streamline and secure IT infrastructure through automation, enabling faster deployment, scaling, and management of critical systems underpinning vital applications and services. This is a unique chance to lead transformation at the intersection of DevOps and enterprise infrastructure.

Your main responsibilities:

• Build and maintain declarative Infrastructure as Code for on-prem infrastructure (compute, storage, network, OS, and database components) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
• Develop reusable modules, templates, and automation patterns to ensure standardized, risk-averse delivery.
• Automate OS and database lifecycle activities including provisioning, configuration, patching, and compliance hardening.
• Design and operate secure, enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure configuration and platform automation.
• Ensure pipelines comply with control standards: segregation of duties, auditability, secrets management, and change traceability.
• Collaborate with OS/DB patching and platform engineering teams to support automated operations.
• Define and monitor infrastructure alerts and dashboards aligned with operational goals.
• Participate in incident management, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and automated preventative actions.
• Continuously enhance engineering practices through code reviews, documentation, SOPs, and knowledge sharing.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Ansible (or similar tools), including modular design and reuse.
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform updates.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell, with excellent troubleshooting capabilities.
• Practical experience managing Linux servers in development and production contexts.
• Working knowledge of database infrastructure concepts, including automation and operational resilience.
• Experience with Git workflows, version control, branching strategies, and code review processes.
• Security-minded approach, incorporating secrets management, least privilege, and control embedding into automation.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills suitable for a senior role.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Depth in observability engineering—metrics, logs, traces—and SRE practices like SLIs/SLOs.
• Knowledge of policy-as-code and compliance automation.
• Familiarity with integrating automation into ITSM/change management processes.
• Experience in regulated environments such as financial services, with a focus on change control and audit readiness.
• Relevant certifications (Cloud platforms, Terraform, Kubernetes, Red Hat, Microsoft).
