Warsaw-based opportunity with possibility to work partly remote 

As a Senior Java Developer you will work for our Client – The EU’s leading bank and key player on the international banking scene, operating in 72 countries. You will join a brand new, state-of-the-art, technology and development Hub created to bring together the strongest players in the IT market. The successful candidate will be working with the latest technologies to develop multiple Global Applications in Payment and Cash Management/ Corporate Credit area.

Your main responsibilities: developing and building highly scalable applications

• Improving the process and data journey which allow to build sustainable, robust IT solution and meet the market and regulation evolutions
• Working with latest technologies such as: Core Java V17, Quarkus, Apache Ignite, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker
• Analyzing user requirements to inform application design
• Defining application objectives and functionality
• Aligning application design with business goals
• Developing and testing software
• Debugging and resolving technical problems that arise
• Recommending changes to existing Java infrastructure
• Ensuring continuous professional self-development

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Java Developer
• Experience with JAVA EE, Core Java V8, Advanced java (JDBC, Collections, Serialization, Memory management)
• Knowledge of web communication: XML, JSON, RESTful Microservices
• Familiarity with JPA with Hibernate
• Past experience with Microservice architecture and development (Spring)
• Knowledge on Java development design patterns
• Knowledge RDBMS specifically Oracle & SQL skills
• Good understanding of GIT and Maven
• Understanding of Agile Workflow
• Experience being involved in technical design, Perform POC to back the same
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent English

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Experience in building and deploying automation (Jenkins, Sonar, Kubernetes, Docker)
• Experience in UI development using Angular, along with testing
• Familiarity with Core Java V17
• Experience in leading a geographically distributed technical team
• Knowledge of Quarkus (microservice architecture & development)
