Location & work model Krakow-based opportunity with hybrid work model (up to 3 remote days/week).
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be working for our client, a Corporate and Institutional Bank (CIB) supporting the 1st Party Lending Fraud (1PLF) team. You will translate fraud risk needs into clear requirements, data/MI capabilities, and operational controls—partnering across Technology, Data Science, Credit, Capital Management, and Business teams to deliver practical, measurable enhancements to fraud risk management capabilities.
Your main responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business requirements aligned with project goals and objectives.
Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Perform in-depth analysis of business processes, systems, and data to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
Define objectives and scope for machine learning requirements suitable for 1PLF management.
Work with Data Science and analytics teams to analyze complex datasets and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies related to 1PLF.
Partner with Data Science to define features, success metrics, validation approaches, and operationalisation requirements.
Design actionable recommendations and process flows to support timely and effective risk management interventions.
Analyze current 1PLF controls, identify improvement opportunities, coordinate with Technology on changes, and monitor control effectiveness for continuous enhancement.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the financial services industry, ideally within lending fraud or financial crime.
Strong understanding of corporate lending risks and financial crime risk management within corporate banking.
Experience translating business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including SQL, Python, and Tableau (or equivalent analytics/visualization tools).
Strong ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data to derive actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Detail-oriented mindset with a strong commitment to accuracy, quality, and documentation.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Experience in consulting and/or risk management.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices in financial crime prevention.
