Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – DevOps & Automation

Location & Work Model: Krakow-based opportunity with hybrid work model (3 remote days per week).

As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading financial institution committed to digital innovation and cloud adoption. Your expertise will support the platform team in hosting a significant portion of HSBC’s estate on cloud infrastructure, delivering scalable and secure compute solutions to clients worldwide. Your main responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain cloud solutions within a regulated enterprise environment, ensuring security and compliance.
• Deliver Compute Hosting Bring Your Own Component for cloud tenants, enabling scalable and flexible infrastructure services.
• Collaborate across full-stack infrastructure domains, including network, identity management, compute, security, and observability.
• Take ownership of tasks, delivering results with minimal supervision while adhering to company standards.
• Support customers and internal teams during business hours in CET/CEST time zone, ensuring smooth operation and incident resolution.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or DevOps roles.
• Strong background in computer science or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Expertise in full-stack infrastructure including networking, identity, compute, security, and observability.
• Proven track record implementing solutions within regulated enterprise settings.
• Coding and scripting skills in Python or Go.
• Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to deliver independently.
• Availability to work during CET/CEST business hours.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Experience within large-scale cloud platform teams.
• Familiarity with HSBC or similar banking/financial industry environments.
• Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Language Required for the role:

• English – Communicative command, both written and spoken.
