As a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global leader in the financial services industry. You will contribute to the transformation of cloud infrastructure, enhancing automation, scalability, and security across diverse projects. This role offers a pivotal opportunity to shape resilient cloud solutions and accelerate digital initiatives within a dynamic and innovative environment.

Your main responsibilities:

• Support project teams in building reliable, secure, and scalable cloud systems aligned with HSBC’s business needs.
• Manage AWS accounts and operate key platform services to ensure performance and security standards are met.
• Collaborate with development teams to enable secure, efficient application launches and automation processes.
• Provide on-call support, troubleshoot incidents, and lead major incident investigations when necessary.
• Write clear, comprehensive documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Assist in implementing Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Git.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by automating operational tasks and refining deployment pipelines.
• Stay updated on cloud security best practices, ensuring compliance within a regulated environment.

You’re ideal for this role if you have:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure engineering.
• Strong expertise in AWS, with practical knowledge of managing cloud accounts and services.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python or equivalent tech skills.
• Sound understanding of Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling and Infrastructure as Code frameworks such as Terraform, Ansible, and Git.
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and agile workflows.
• A proactive, collaborative approach with excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrable success in delivering enterprise infrastructure solutions.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• AWS certification(s).
• Advanced Terraform skills.
• Linux or Windows certifications.
• Experience in non-functional testing and risk management.
• Knowledge gained from working within highly regulated industries.

• Fluent English (written and spoken).
