As a Senior Cloud Operations Manager, you will be working for our client, a leading financial services organization, building cloud foundations that enhance global business agility. You will develop processes, standards, and technical capabilities to support secure, resilient, and scalable cloud environments across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, and Microsoft Azure. This role offers the chance to drive innovation, streamline operations, and influence strategic cloud initiatives on an international scale.
Your main responsibilities:
- Manage and develop a globally distributed DevOps team, including setting objectives, conducting performance reviews, and fostering growth.
- Define and refine support scope, ensuring cloud platforms meet operational and security standards.
- Lead management reporting, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize cloud operations efficiency.
- Oversee incident escalations, troubleshooting, and problem resolution to ensure high platform availability.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, risk management frameworks, and auditing requirements.
- Collaborate with security, architecture, and service management teams to align on design decisions, support strategies, and governance.
- Maintain knowledge bases, document key decisions, and gather stakeholder feedback to improve processes and tools.
- Drive operational excellence and implement change initiatives aligned with best practices and regulatory standards.
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- At least 5 years of experience in cloud operations or enterprise IT management, preferably within a financial or regulated industry.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams of 10 or more technical staff.
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure, including services such as Compute, Containers (Docker, GKE, COS), Storage, IAM, and SDN.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD methodologies, network architectures, and security principles.
- Experience working in global, cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders across multiple regions.
- Demonstrable expertise in risk and compliance management, audit processes, and enterprise standards.
- Certifications such as AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud certifications are considered a strong plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Additional certifications in cloud, security, or project management.
- Technical knowledge in Directory Services, GCP resource hierarchy, firewalls, and enterprise networking solutions.
- Experience operating in highly regulated environments, such as financial services.
